Coronavirus tightened its grip on Gujarat as the state on  added 1009 new positive cases, taking the state's tally to 64,684. Likewise, with 22 deaths in 24 hours on Monday sent the death toll spiralling to 2,509. The state reported recovery of 974 patients, which took the number of discharged persons to 47,561. There are total 14,614 active cases in Gujarat. 83 of these patients are on ventilator support, it added. Cases and fatalities in Ahmedabad continue to rise. The city reported 151 cases and 6 deaths. Total 1,610 deaths, 26,968 cases and 21,801 recoveries have been recorded in Ahmedabad.
