Gujarat's tally of COVID-19 cases rose to 7,25,353 on Thursday with 10,742 more persons testing positive for the infection, the state health department said. With the death of 109 more patients, the fatalities increased to 8,840, it said. The state has in all recorded 1,22,847 active cases of which 796 are on ventilator support. At the same time, 15,269 patients were discharged from hospitals in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of recovered cases in the state to 5,93,666, the department said in a release here. A total of 1,47,18,861 persons have been vaccinated so far.  There has been no case of adverse reaction or side-effects of Covid-19 vaccine in the State so far. The state's recovery rate stood at 81.85 percent, it said.
