Gujarat's novel coronavirus cases surpassed 1,40,000-mark today, taking the state's Covid-19 count to 1,40,055. Gujarat reported  1,310 coronavirus cases on Friday. With the death of 15 more COVID-19 patients, the fatalities rose to 3,478, it said.The number of recovered cases rose to 1,19,815 with 1,250 more patients getting discharged on Friday. The state now has 16,762 active cases, with the condition of 84 patients being critical, it said.The patient recovery rate in the state has reached 85.55 percent, it said. A total of 56,732 tests were conducted for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours at the rate of 872.80 tests per day per million population. Gujarat COVID-19 figures are as follows: Positive cases 1,40,055, New cases 1,310, Deaths 3,478, Discharged 1,19,815, Active cases 16,762 and people tested so far 45,31,498.
