Gujarat's tally of COVID-19 cases rose to 1,65,233 on Friday with 1,112 more persons testing positive for the infection, the state health department said. The state's recovery rate stood at 89.31 percent, it said. As many as 52,946 tests were conducted for coronavirus in the state in a day at a rate of 814.57 tests per day per million population, the department said.
