Gujarat's novel coronavirus cases surpassed 31,000-mark today, taking the state's Covid-19 count to 31,397, according to health officials.

Along with that, the death toll in the state increased to 1809 after 19 more virus-related fatalities were reported. There are currently 6780 active cases in the state, of which 71 are on ventilators, while the number of people recovered from COVID-19 rose to 22,808 with 391 patients discharged from hospital today.

Of these fresh cases, Ahmedabad alone reported 211 more positive patients in the last 24 hours, total coronavirus cases reaches 20,480. The death toll also rose by 1424 after 13 of the new 19 deaths from the state were recorded in Ahmedabad.
