Along with that, the death toll in the state increased to 1664 after 25 more virus-related fatalities were reported. There are currently 6296 active cases in the state, of which 59 are on ventilators, while the number of people recovered from COVID-19 rose to 19,357 with 655 patients discharged from hospital today.

Of these fresh cases, Ahmedabad alone reported 273 more positive patients in the last 24 hours, total coronavirus cases reaches 18,837. The death toll also rose by 1332 after 20 of the new 25 deaths from the state were recorded in Ahmedabad.
