The number of Covid-19 cases in Gujarat crossed the 6,000-mark with 441 more people testing positive for coronavirus, a health department official said. The total number of the Covid-19 cases in the state now stood at 6245. With 49 more persons succumbing to the Covid-19 disease, the death toll has risen to 368, the official said. Total 273 deaths in Ahmedabad so far and 4425 cases so far. Out of total 4496 active cases, the condition of 29 patient is serious and they are on ventilator support while 4467 are stable and 186 persons recovered from the infection and given discharge in the last 24 hours, she said. Till now 1381 cured/ discharged.

Ahmedabad Municipal Commissioner Vijay Nehra has decided to get home quarantined for 14 days after he came in contact of positive patients. Now, for two weeks Mukesh Kumar, Vice Chairman and CEO of Gujarat Maritime Board, will reportedly be the in-charge Municipal Commissioner of AMC. Rajiv Kumar Gupta to manage Ahmedabad, Pankaj Kumar to guide and help the state health department.
