Gujarat government on Thursday allowed the Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Ahmedabad on July 12 without devotees saying that COVID-19 positivity rate has dropped to 0.1%. A seven-hour-long curfew will be imposed in Ahmedabad and devotees have been asked to watch the live telecast. In 2020, the procession was cancelled due to pandemic, for the first time in 143 years.
