An alarming Sixty per cent packaged water pouches have been found unsafe by the Ahmedabad based Consumer Education and Research Centre (CERC) in its recent in-house comparative product testing. Packaged drinking water is water from any source, which has been treated and disinfected to make it fit for human consumption and then packaged in bottles or pouches. But after testing ten brands of packaged drinking water (pouches) CERC found that majority of them are unsafe for human consumption.
