The state recorded 324 new Covid19 cases in the last 24 hours taking the total number of such cases in the state to 9,592. Of the total number of cases, the highest was recorded from Ahmedabad which saw 265 such cases. The second highest number of cases for the day was recorded from Surat (16) and Vadodara (13).
The total number of deaths recorded in the last 24 hours is 20 of which 13 deaths happened due to co-morbid conditions. With this the total death toll in the state due to the disease now stands at 586. Of the total 20 deaths, 19 were in Ahmedabad alone while 1 is in Surat
Ahmedabad continues to have the highest number of cases in the state with a total of 6,910 and a death toll of 465. The second highest number of cases are in Surat that has 983 such cases. The death toll in the district is 44, also the second highest in the state. Vadodara, which ranks third, has 605 cases and 32 deaths.
