The Centre on Sunday announced a cut in the retail prices of tomatoes sold through two cooperatives—the National Cooperative Consumers Federation (NCCF) and National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India (NAFED). The NCCF and the NAFED will now sell tomatoes at Rs 80 per kg.
