Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has sought Parliament's nod to spend a net additional Rs23,675 crore, including Rs17,000 crore for the health ministry, in the current financial year. Approval for rs2,050 crore is also being sought for Ministry of Civil Aviation. The additional spending is over and above the total expenditure of Rs34.83 lakh crore projected in the Budget for 2021-22.
