The Health Ministry has come out with the latest clinical guidance on the diagnosis and management of diabetes among COVID-19 patients as hyperglycemia is linked to high mucormycosis risk. Patients should be screened for hyperglycemia during admission with at least two capillary blood glucose values and all patients with diabetes must be put on a diabetic diet, the guidance says.
