The Ministry of Information Technology has banned 59 applications calling them prejudicial to sovereignty and integrity of India. The apps include TikTok, UC Browser, ShareIt and Club Factory among several other Chinese applications. This move will safeguard the interests of crores of Indian mobile and internet users, the ministry further stated in its order.
