Amid the growing number of COVID-19 cases, the Goa government on Wednesday announced the imposition of lockdown in the state from Thursday evening.Full lockdown will be imposed in Goa from the evening of April 29 till the morning of May 3, announced Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant.
The CM said that only essential services and industrial activities will be allowed to operate during the lockdown. Public transport will not ply during the period.
“Lockdown announced in the state from 29th April 7 pm to the morning of 3rd May. Essential services and industrial activities are allowed, public transport will remain shut,” CM Sawant said. According to him, casinos, hotels and pubs will remain closed during the lockdown while borders will remain open for essential service transportation.
