The Goa government on Saturday announced that it will take over rights to admission in the 21 private COVID-19 hospitals in the state. CM Pramod Sawant said that this is being done as private hospitals haven’t been reserving 50% of their total beds for COVID-19 patients. He added that there were also instances of hospitals charging their patients exorbitantly.
