Latin America and the Caribbean are the worst-hit regions with 341,032 deaths for 9,190,683 cases. According to John Hopkins University, the United States has confirmed 7,093,285 COVID cases so far and 204,606 people have succumbed due to the deadly contagious disease in the world's most developed country. Meanwhile, in India, more than 60 lakh people have been infected with COVID-19 so far, as per the union ministry of health and family welfare. However, the recovery rate of India is on the positive side. Over 50 lakh COVID patents have been recovered and the national recovery rate stands at 82.46 per cent.
