The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Gujarat on Tuesday registered a landslide victory in the Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation (GMC) election by winning 41 out of 44 seats. Congress has won 2 seats while Aam Admi Party (AAP) has won 1 seat. Among two Congress candidate who achieved victory, Gajendrasinh Vaghela is elected from Pethapur-GEB ward number 2 with 6,070 votes. Ankit Barot has won from ward number 3 which covers parts of sectors 24, 27 and 28. He received 5,598 votes. Aam Admi Party candidate Tushar Manilal Parikh has won with 3,974 votes from ward number 6.
