After spending more than two weeks in what was initially supposed to be a 10-day mission, the first private astronaut crew undocked from the International Space Station. The SpaceX Dragon Endeavour spacecraft detached from the space-facing port of the Harmony module with four Axiom astronauts.
The spacecraft, which is slowly maneuvering away from the orbital laboratory into an orbital track, will return the astronaut crew and its cargo safely to Earth. The spacecraft will splashdown off the coast of Jacksonville, Florida on Monday. Ax-1 Commander Michael López-Alegría, Pilot Larry Connor, and Mission Specialists Eytan Stibbe and Mark Pathy are on their way.
