A former Indian Army personnel, believed to be mentally unstable, allegedly bludgeoned six people to death with an iron rod in Haryana’s Palwal town early on Tuesday, police said. The accused, identified as 45-year-old Naresh Dhankhad, went on a rampage between 2am to 4am in a 2km stretch between Agra Chowk and Camp Colony in the town. He has been arrested. Police said that the killing spree began at a private hospital, where Dhankhad allegedly attacked one of the attendants and the killing was recorded on a closed-circuit television (CCTV) camera in the area.
