Ahead of Gujarat assembly polls later this year, the Congress appointed former Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot as its general secretary in-charge for Gujarat. Gurudas Kamat was replaced as he faced internal problems within the party in Maharashtra after the Congress’ debacle in state civic polls. Congress has revamped the entire team in Gujarat by appointing four new secretaries too.
