For the first time in 28 years, the idol of Ram Lalla will be shifted from the makeshift structure in Ayodhya when construction of the temple at Ram Janmabhoomi commences. The idol will be moved to a bulletproof fibre structure which will have a transparent glass screen so that devotees can have ‘uninterrupted darshan’, Champat Rai, secretary of the Ram temple trust, said on Monday.
