West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said that when the lockdown was announced, Centre said full salary will be paid to employees but later they backtracked. "People have been betrayed. During these difficult times of Covid-19, people are indulging in politics," Mamata Banerjee said. "We have to allow shops to open otherwise how will people survive. People don't have money on hand. First note-bandi and now ghar-bandi. In such a scenario, we have to continue functioning," Mamata Banerjee added.
