The Election Commission has issued new guidelines for carrying out general or by-elections amid the COVID-19 pandemic in the country. While face masks will be mandatory at poll centres, thermal screening will be carried out and voters will be provided with gloves and sanitisers. The EC has limited the number of persons including the candidate for door-to-door campaigns to five.
