The vigilance department of the Delhi government has sent a notice to a former Delhi Jal Board CEO for allegedly demolishing a historical monument to construct a bungalow. Udit Prakash Rai has been served a show cause notice and has been asked to file his response within two weeks.
IAS Udit Prakash Rai has been accused of demolishing a historical structure to get his official residence built, in violation of rules, while he was the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) chief executive officer. Udit Prakash is currently posted in Mizoram.
