The 21-foot (6.5 metres) tall National Emblem that has been installed on top of the new Parliament building in Delhi was handcrafted by over 100 artisans who worked for over nine months to create it, government officials have said. The statue, installed 108 feet above the ground on Parliament's central foyer, weighs 16,000 kg with the emblem weighing 9,500 kg.
