The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Tuesday morning conducted raids at the houses of officicials and Journalists working with the Delhi-based independent media portal, Newsclick, the wire reported.The ED has said that the raids were conducted on NewsClick after an alleged money laundering case. “The agency is probing funding the organisation had received from “dubious companies” abroad,” the report added.
Anchor Abhisar Sharma, who hosts two YouTube programmes for NewsClick, also confirmed the raid on Twitter. In his twitter post, Abhisar wrote, “ED raid at http://Newsclick.in ‘s office & Directors/Shareholders home since 10am this morning. @newsclickin, This is where I do my shows Bol ke lab aazaad hain tere and Newschakra.
