Dr Reddy's Laboratories has launched antiviral drug Avigan (Favipiravir) at ₹99 per tablet. The drug has been approved by Drug Controller General of India for treatment of patients with mild to moderate COVID-19 infection. The launch is part of a licensing agreement with Fujifilm Toyama Chemical that grants Dr Reddy's exclusive rights to manufacture and sell the tablets in India.
