The average time India's neighbourhood doctors, called primary care consultants, spend with patients is a negligible two minutes, says the largest international study on the length of medical consultation. Neighbouring Bangladesh or Pakistan seem worse off with consulting time averaging 48 seconds and 1.3 minutes, respectively , adds the study set to be published in medical journal BMJ Open on Thursday .
