The Indian Medical Association (IMA) agreed to withdraw the symbolic protest by doctors against the attack on healthcare workers during the country's fight against coronavirus, after Home Minister Amit Shah assured them security.
Amit Shah and Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan interacted with doctors and the medical association through video-conferencing. Assuring security to doctors, Shah appealed to them to not to do even symbolic protest as proposed by them, saying that the government is with them.
