The opposition DMK in Tamil Nadu on Saturday released its party's manifesto for the 6 April Assembly elections in the state, making a slew of promises including free computer tablets with data card for students and a law to provide 75 percent of jobs in the state to locals.

- Petrol price to be slashed by Rs 5 and diesel price by Rs 4.
- Assembly proceedings to be telecast live.
- Aavin milk price to be cut by Rs 3.
- Emphasis would be given to make Thirukkural as national book.
- Property tax will not be increased in the state.
- Ration rice card holders to be provided Rs 4,000.
- Night shelters would be constructed for street dwellers.
- Rs 1000 crore to be allocated to maintain Hindu temples.
- Rs 10,000 for farmers to buy new motors.
- Tablets with free data to be given to government school students.
- Work for 75% Tamil people in industries.
- Maternity leave for women would be increased to 12 months.
- Law will be passed to lift NEET in the first assembly session.
- Rs 100 would be provided as a subsidy for cooking gas cylinders.
- 500 Kalaignar food stall (similar to Amma canteen) to be created in Tamil Nadu.
- Rs 200 crore would be allocated to maintain churches and mosques.

- Student loans of those below age 30 years to be waived off.
