The Delhi Metro will be linked to other public transport systems in all cities in the Delhi-NCR region within one year to ensure “last mile connectivity”, an official of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs has said. Union Minister of State for Housing and Urban Affairs Hardeep Singh Puri has asked the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) to ensure “last-mile connectivity” by connecting the metro with feeder bus services in the National Capital Region. Puri has also asked the DMRC to speed up work on a project to connect the Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) to support public transport services in the region.
