A 23-year-old woman and her 21-year-old live-in partner were arrested on Friday for allegedly murdering her four-year-old son and burying his body after cooking up two different stories — one for her family and another for neighbours — to pass it off as an accidental death, the police said.
The police said the child’s body with his head and left arm missing was dug out from the burial ground at Wazirabad cremation ground on May 2 — eight days after he was murdered. They are now probing how the child’s head and arm are missing, despite the body being buried.
