The Delhi government has launched a "first-of-its kind" tree transplantation policy under which trees won't be cut for development projects but will be uprooted and placed elsewhere, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said. "At least 80% of the trees uprooted during a project need to be transplanted and agencies must ensure that 80% of the transplanted trees survive," the CM added.
