The government on Wednesday declared some of India’s most wanted men as terrorists under the newly-amended Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA). As per reports, 1993 Mumbai blasts mastermind Dawood Ibrahim, Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) chief Masood Azhar, Jamaat-ud-Dawah (JuD) chief and 26/11 mastermind Hafiz Saeed, and Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) chief Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi have been declared terrorists.
The decisions have been taken nearly a month after Parliament approved a crucial amendment to the UAPA law.
