A cyclone on India's west coast has killed at least 19 people and damaged infrastructure and agriculture, while heavy rains continued to lash some regions even as weather officials said on Tuesday that the storm's intensity had weakened. MET Ahmedabad Director Manorama Mohanty says as of now Tauktae is severe cyclonic storm. "It will convert into cyclonic storm in one hour. It will go 50-60 km west of Ahmedabad. Wind speed will be 45-55 km/hr gusting to 65 km/hr. Isolated heavy rain likely in Ahmedabad and some other districts. Heavy to very heavy rain likely to take place in Amreli, Bhavnagar, Rajkot and Surendranagar. The cyclonic system is weakening and it will weaken further. Its impact will be in place only today."
