A curfew has been imposed in three districts in Manipur on Tuesday amid the ongoing conflict in the state. The conflict in Manipur has escalated again, with recent incidents of violence and protests adding to the turmoil. Due to the escalation of violence in the state, a curfew has been imposed in Imphal East, Imphal West and Thoubal districts.
“Due to the developing law and order situation in the district, earlier orders of curfew relaxation stand cancelled with immediate effect from 11 am of September 10. Hence, there is total curfew in Imphal East district with immediate effect until further orders,” an order issued by the district magistrate said.
