Gujarat recorded 29 deaths and 376 Covid-19 cases in 24 hours on Monday. This was higher than the record high of 374 cases and 28 deaths registered on Sunday. Now, the total case tally for the state is 5,804 and death toll is 319. On both counts, the state is second in India only after Maharashtra.
Jayanti Ravi, principal secretary (health & family welfare), said that out of total new cases, 259 were from Ahmedabad, 35 from Vaddoara, 21 from Bhavnagar and 20 from Anand.
