The Supreme Court has refused to entertain a plea seeking directions for Election Commission to refrain from holding the upcoming election in Bihar till the state is declared coronavirus and flood free. The Supreme Court also asked the petitioner to approach the Election Commission. "It's a premature petition. No notification has been issued. How can we ask ECI to not hold elections? Coronavirus is not a valid reason for the postponement of the election," the Supreme Court said.
