The Gujarat government on Tuesday extended the night curfew imposed from 1 am to 5 am in eight cities till December 10, amid threat from new coronavirus variant Omicron. These cities are Ahmedabad, Surat, Rajkot, Vadodara, Gandhinagar, Bhavnagar, Jamnagar and Junagadh. All commercial establishments in these cities can remain open till 12 am, the government notification said.
