Gujarat on Tuesday reported 6690 new Covid-19 cases, highest single-day count so far, taking its tally to 3,60,206. The death toll due to COVID-19 rose to 4,922 after 67 more persons succumbed to the infection during the same period. 2748 patients were discharged from hospitals in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of recovered cases in the state to 3,20,729. The number of active cases crosses 34,000-mark. At present, Gujarat has 34,555 active COVID-19 cases, of which, 221 patients are on ventilator. The first dose of vaccine has been given to 84,04,128 persons and the second dose has been given to 11,61,722 persons. A total of 95,65,850 persons have been vaccinated so far. There has been no case of adverse reaction or side-effects of Covid-19 vaccine in the State so far. The state's recovery rate stood at 89.04 percent, it said.
