Gujarat on Sunday reported 5469 new Covid-19 cases, highest single-day count so far, taking its tally to 3,47,495. The death toll due to COVID-19 rose to 4,800 after 54 more persons succumbed to the infection during the same period. 2976 patients were discharged from hospitals in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of recovered cases in the state to 3,15,127. The number of active cases crosses 27,000-mark. At present, Gujarat has 27,568 active COVID-19 cases, of which, 203 patients are on ventilator. The first dose of vaccine has been given to 80,55,986 persons and the second dose has been given to 10,67,733 persons. A total of 91,23,719 persons have been vaccinated so far. There has been no case of adverse reaction or side-effects of Covid-19 vaccine in the State so far. The state's recovery rate stood at 90.69 percent, it said.
