Gujarat on Friday reported 4541 new Covid-19 cases, highest single-day count so far, taking its tally to 3,37,015. The death toll due to COVID-19 rose to 4,697 after 42 more persons succumbed to the infection during the same period. 2280 patients were discharged from hospitals in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of recovered cases in the state to 3,09,626. The number of active cases crosses 22,000-mark. At present, Gujarat has 22,692 active COVID-19 cases, of which, 187 patients are on ventilator. The first dose of vaccine has been given to 76,30,525 persons and the second dose has been given to 9,84,523 persons. A total of 86,15,108 persons have been vaccinated so far. There has been no case of adverse reaction or side-effects of Covid-19 vaccine in the State so far. The state's recovery rate stood at 91.87 percent, it said.
