Gujarat on Wednesday reported 3,575 new Covid-19 cases, highest single-day count so far, taking its tally to 3,28,453. The death toll due to COVID-19 rose to 4,620 after 22 more persons succumbed to the infection during the same period. 2217 patients were discharged from hospitals in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of recovered cases in the state to 3,05,194. The number of active cases crosses 18,000-mark. At present, Gujarat has 18,684 active COVID-19 cases, of which, 175 patients are on ventilator. The first dose of vaccine has been given to 71,86,613 persons and the second dose has been given to 8,74,677 persons. A total of 80,81,290 persons have been vaccinated so far. There has been no case of adverse reaction or side-effects of Covid-19 vaccine in the State so far. The state's recovery rate stood at 92.90 percent, it said.
