Gujarat on Monday reported 3,280 new Covid-19 cases, highest single-day count so far, taking its tally to 3,24,878. The death toll due to COVID-19 rose to 4,598 after 17 more persons succumbed to the infection during the same period. 2167 patients were discharged from hospitals in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of recovered cases in the state to 3,02,932. The number of active cases crosses 17,000-mark. At present, Gujarat has 17,348 active COVID-19 cases, of which, 171 patients are on ventilator. The first dose of vaccine has been given to 70,38,445 persons and the second dose has been given to 8,47,185 persons. A total of 78,85,630 persons have been vaccinated so far. There has been no case of adverse reaction or side-effects of Covid-19 vaccine in the State so far. The state's recovery rate stood at 93.24 percent, it said.
