Gujarat on Sunday reported 2875 new Covid-19 cases, highest single-day count so far, taking its tally to 3,18,438. The death toll due to COVID-19 rose to 4,566 after 14 more persons succumbed to the infection during the same period. 2024 patients were discharged from hospitals in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of recovered cases in the state to 2,98,737. The number of active cases crosses 15,000-mark. At present, Gujarat has 15,135 active COVID-19 cases, of which, 163 patients are on ventilator. The first dose of vaccine has been given to 64,89,441 persons and the second dose has been given to 7,83,043 persons. A total of 72,72,484 persons have been vaccinated so far. There has been no case of adverse reaction or side-effects of Covid-19 vaccine in the State so far. The state's recovery rate stood at 93.81 percent, it said.
