Gujarat on Saturday reported 2815 new Covid-19 cases, highest single-day count so far, taking its tally to 3,15,563. The death toll due to COVID-19 rose to 4,552 after 13 more persons succumbed to the infection during the same period. 2063 patients were discharged from hospitals in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of recovered cases in the state to 2,96,713. The number of active cases crosses 14,000-mark. At present, Gujarat has 14,298 active COVID-19 cases, of which, 161 patients are on ventilator. The first dose of vaccine has been given to 62,30,249 persons and the second dose has been given to 7,64,346 persons. A total of 69,94,596 persons have been vaccinated so far. There has been no case of adverse reaction or side-effects of Covid-19 vaccine in the State so far. The state's recovery rate stood at 94.03 percent, it said.
