Gujarat on Friday reported 2640 new Covid-19 cases, highest single-day count so far, taking its tally to 3,12,748. The death toll due to COVID-19 rose to 4,539 after 11 more persons succumbed to the infection during the same period. 2066 patients were discharged from hospitals in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of recovered cases in the state to 2,94,650. The state has in all recorded 13,559 active cases of which 158 patients are on ventilator. The first dose of vaccine has been given to 57,75,904 persons and the second dose has been given to 7,30,124 persons. A total of 65,06,028 persons have been vaccinated so far. There has been no case of adverse reaction or side-effects of Covid-19 vaccine in the State so far. The state's recovery rate stood at 94.21 percent, it said.
