Gujarat on Wednesday reported 2260 new Covid-19 cases, highest single-day count so far, taking its tally to 3,07,698. The death toll due to COVID-19 rose to 4,519 after 9 more persons succumbed to the infection during the same period. 2004 patients were discharged from hospitals in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of recovered cases in the state to 2,90,569. The state has in all recorded 12,610 active cases of which 152 patients are on ventilator. The first dose of vaccine has been given to 49,45,649 persons and the second dose has been given to 6,65,395 persons. A total of 56,11,044 persons have been vaccinated so far. There has been no case of adverse reaction or side-effects of Covid-19 vaccine in the State so far. The state's recovery rate stood at 94.43 percent, it said.
