Gujarat on Saturday reported 2276 new Covid-19 cases, highest single-day count so far, taking its tally to 2,98,596. The death toll due to COVID-19 rose to 4,484 after 5 more persons succumbed to the infection during the same period. 1534 patients were discharged from hospitals in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of recovered cases in the state to 2,83,241. The state has in all recorded 10,871 active cases of which 157 patients are on ventilator. The first dose of vaccine has been given to 44,29,556 persons and the second dose has been given to 6,29,707 persons. A total of 50,58,626 persons have been vaccinated so far. There has been no case of adverse reaction or side-effects of Covid-19 vaccine in the State so far. The state's recovery rate stood at 94.86 percent, it said.
